How to get published and
Soapmaking for beginners

Melinda Coss

Melinda is an international, best-selling author who has written over 25 books on various textile arts and crafts.
Some of her works have been translated into ten languages and over a million copies are in circulation.
She has also written many magazine articles for publications in the UK, US and Australia.

In the late 90s Melinda wrote a very successful book on soapmaking which led her to launch‘The Handmade Soap Company’. Within four years the company was supplying Harrods, luxury hotels and all the major supermarket chains in the UK. Melinda sold the company in 2004 and moved to a farmhouse in the
Dordogne which she has just completed renovating. She has given workshops on entrepreneurship, marketing,
soapmaking and ‘how to get published’ at Lampeter University. She has also spent time in Tanzania helping to set up a village soapmaking unit run by local women.

Melinda is delighted to offer soapmaking and 'how to get published'' breaks with accommodation (including pool), for up to six people at her beautiful restored farmhouse near Bergerac in south west France.
